Communication
There are a number of communication options available for staying in touch with your partners. All those suggested below broadly cover instant messaging and video conferencing. Skype provides the ability to call telephones (at a small cost) from your computer.
Make sure you discuss with your partner what works best and any issues such as access through your school server. All the applications below need to be downloaded to your computer to be used properly (there are some online versions but they may use a lot of bandwidth).
